Lanny Jaya – Personnel from the Cartenz 2025 Peace Task Force have demonstrated their commitment to the community by organizing free haircuts for children in Lanny Jaya Regency, Papua Pegunungan.
The event, titled “Haircuts for Papua’s Children,” took place at Post Blukar 6.7, Tiom, on Friday (March 14).
The initiative began when a group of children walked by the post after school. The personnel on duty greeted them and inquired about their plans. After learning they were headed home, the personnel offered them free haircuts, noting that their hair had grown long and that haircut prices in the area could be quite high.
The offer was met with enthusiasm by the children, who eagerly participated in the haircut process carried out by Bharatu Pauola Abilio Dacosta.
Deputy Operations Chief of the Cartenz 2025 Peace Task Force, Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that this activity is part of a humanistic approach taken by security forces in Papua.
“This event is not just about cutting hair; it also serves as an opportunity for interaction and camaraderie between our members and the children and local community. We want to demonstrate that the presence of the police is not only for maintaining security, but also to show care and support for the community,” said Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga.
The children who participated expressed their happiness at receiving free haircuts without having to spend any money. This moment strengthened the bond between law enforcement and local residents.
The Cartenz 2025 Peace Task Force continues to emphasize a soft approach strategy in maintaining security and order in Papua. Various social activities, such as health services, education, and humanitarian assistance, are continually being carried out to build trust between the community and security personnel while fostering a more conducive atmosphere in the region.
