Angkaisera, March 12, 2025 – The Regional Government of Yapen Islands Regency held a District-Level Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) in Angkaisera to draft the 2026 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD). The event took place at the Menawi Village Hall and was attended by various government officials and community representatives.
The meeting began at 10:00 AM WIT with an opening ceremony, a prayer, and the singing of the Indonesian national anthem. In his report, Angkaisera District Head, Gayus Mara, outlined various proposals and community aspirations regarding local development.

Ebson Sembay, Chairman of the Yapen Islands Regency Regional House of Representatives (DPRK), emphasized the importance of synergy between the regional government and the community to create effective development programs. Meanwhile, Yapen Islands Regent, Benyamin Arisoi, officially opened the Musrenbang and announced key policies, including plans to provide financial assistance for mama-mama (women) selling betel nuts and the procurement of a hearse for Angkaisera District.
The meeting also included a briefing from the Yapen Islands Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) regarding the district’s development policy direction. After a discussion session and the signing of the meeting’s official report, the event concluded at 2:30 PM WIT.
Angkaisera Police Chief, Ipda Akuilah Waromi, who was present at the event, highlighted the importance of coordination among all parties to ensure the effective implementation of the planned development programs.
With this Musrenbang, it is hoped that development in Angkaisera District will align with the community’s needs and contribute to the region’s welfare and progress.
