Pegunungan Bintang, March 8, 2025 – A heartwarming moment of unity and togetherness unfolded in Oksibil District, Pegunungan Bintang Regency, Papua Highlands. A Papuan mother, with genuine sincerity, shared her harvest with personnel from the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, showcasing the strong social bond between the community and security forces.

On Saturday afternoon (8/3), a middle-aged woman named Mama Elliyah walked toward the Peace Cartenz 2025 personnel post carrying a noken, a traditional Papuan bag. Inside the bag were fresh, long cassava tubers. With a warm smile, she handed over the cassava to the personnel on duty as a gesture of care and goodwill, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
“I often see the police officers protecting us here. I’m happy to share the produce from my garden so they can also taste what we eat at home. We must help each other to maintain peace and harmony,” said Mama Elliyah with heartfelt warmth.
One of the personnel who received the gift, Bripda Abdulrohman Wahyu Saputra, expressed his gratitude.
“This is an extraordinary act of kindness from the community. We feel valued and accepted as part of them,” he said.
In return, the Peace Cartenz 2025 personnel offered Mama Elliyah a box of instant noodles as a token of appreciation for the community’s generosity.
The Deputy Head of Operations (Wakaops) of Peace Cartenz 2025, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., also appreciated the moment.
“Incidents like this are tangible proof that the people of Papua and security forces can coexist in unity and humanity. The kindness shown by the Papuan mothers is an example of noble values that must be preserved in our national life,” he said.
This event reflects the growing closeness between security forces and the community of Pegunungan Bintang. The Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 continues to prioritize a humanistic approach in maintaining security in Papua, fostering good communication with local residents. This moment of togetherness reaffirms that, amidst Indonesia’s diversity, the values of mutual cooperation and unity remain strong, as embodied in the third principle of Pancasila: Unity in Diversity.
