Timika, Indonesia – In an effort to strengthen ties with the community and support the local economy, personnel from the Public Relations Task Force of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 carried out a humanitarian initiative with fruit vendors on Bhayangkara Street, Timika, on Wednesday (March 5, 2025).
This initiative was led by Bripda Irgi Alamsyah and Bripda Alfesa Hafiz Bagaskara as a demonstration of their concern for local vendors. In addition to engaging in direct conversations, they also supported small businesses by purchasing goods from the vendors.

Head of Public Relations of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized that this initiative is part of the task force’s ongoing humanitarian approach.
“Through activities like this, we aim to build closer relationships with the community, particularly small traders, and show that the presence of law enforcement in Timika is not only about security but also about being part of a supportive community,” said Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo.
Meanwhile, one of the local fruit vendors, Mama Maria Wenda, expressed her joy over the police officers’ visit and their support for small businesses.
“I’m very happy that the police came to buy our fruits and spoke kindly to us. Usually, people feel intimidated when they see the police, but today we feel much closer to them. I hope they come more often and continue to support small vendors like us,” said Mama Maria Wenda.
The event proceeded in a peaceful and orderly manner. The vendors welcomed the initiative, hoping for more activities like this to further support small businesses in the area.
