Jayapura – Papuan academic Dr. Alifius Aninam, S.Th., M.Pd., has urged Papuan students, both those studying in Papua and those outside the region, to stay focused on their education and avoid involvement in organizations that oppose the government. He warned that such involvement could be detrimental to both the students themselves and their future.

“I encourage all students pursuing their education in Papua and beyond to focus on their studies,” he said on Monday (Feb 24).

Dr. Alifius also reminded students not to be influenced by views or ideologies that could negatively impact their lives and future.

“If there are dynamics arising from political effects, as intellectuals, we must be cautious and wise. Our actions should not end up harming ourselves. Let’s work together to create a peaceful atmosphere, both on and off campus,” he added.
